What
is on-line personal training?
On-line personal training is a multi-faceted approach to be able to work with a client.
By using videos, pictures, explanations of exercises, journaling and phone consultations, a client can be just as successful
as someone who may see a trainer face to face on a weekly basis.
Through a questionaire that you will fill out,
I will be able to create a program that will fit your time, experience level and goals.
Whether you are working out at
home or in a gym, you will be fully prepared to meet all of the goals you set for yourself!
There is a ton of information
on the internet about working out and eating right. I will help guide you to websites and programs that are easy to use and
navigate to help you get the most out of your workout program. I am paired with NextFit to offer the keychain trainer as
a way of keeping to your workouts and staying motivated without me right in front of you cheering you on. The keychain
trainer gives you the ability to start of workout program and progress it along the way. See the link below for more
information. The keychain trainer is not required, but is a great investment for new exercisers as well as seasoned athletes.
On-line personal training includes:
-Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly phone consultation lasting about 30 minutes. This is a chance
to ask questions, clarify, vent or use me as a sounding board.
-Email support. You can email me with
any questions or concerns or to just tell me of your awesome week you have had with food journaling!
-Basic
food plan to help you get your diet cleaned up and on track.
-Workout plans that will change on a monthly basis.
-Recommendations on basic equipment to have, if working out at home.
-Suggestions on supplements. (Note:
Supplements are not required to be successful. Supplement are available to enhance what you are already doing on your
program.)
On-line training is great for the new exerciser who may not want to go to a gym but
needs the support of a trainer to keep them motivated and on track. I have spoken with several people who feel very self conscious
in a gym and prefer to workout at home.
On-line training is also for the person who is comfortable in a gym, but needs
a clear cut workout program to do when in the gym.
I have seen many people in a gym wandering around picking
and choosing random machines and exercises to do. Having a plan will optimize your time while in the gym. That saved time
can be used to do the other things you want to do in your life.
Clients will be encouraged and expected to keep
a food and exercise log. The most successful clients are those who keep track of their food and exercise. It is one of the
best ways to track progress. Writing your food down is not a punishment. It is meant to keep you aware of what you
are doing and when you are doing it. I can see if there are gaps in your day where you have gone too long between meals, that
you are not getting in enough calories or not being consistent with your workouts.
